How do comments and line markers work?
Click a line marker to put that line number into a comment, then describe the exact correction or question.
Both the expert and client can use comments. A line marker gives the conversation a shared location even though the customer's document view is not a full editor.
Write a comment someone can act on
A useful comment states the line, the problem, and the correct fact or desired decision. Replies keep the original comment visible, and reactions can acknowledge a message without adding another sentence.
Line numbers describe the current layout
Line wrapping can differ by screen width, font, or later edits. Use the line number for a live phone conversation, but quote a few words from the sentence when the reference must remain clear after the document changes.
